From 25c356669b0d98e3ea81fddbd7e0b95bf3abea7a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Abdessamad Derraz <3028866+Abdess@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 27 Oct 2026 19:10:39 +0100 Subject: [PATCH 1/2] fix: record each platform's own list version install/.json wrote the constant "1.0" as the version of the list it was built from. The manifest now carries the version the platform YAML records, and generate_pack refuses a YAML without one. inherits: no longer passes a parent's version to a child: Lakka was published as RetroArch v1.22.2 in its manifest, pack name and site page. lakka.yml records v6.1, the Lakka-LibreELEC tag its target list is read at. The MiSTer scraper refuses a BiosDB without a timestamp instead of writing an empty version. A pack's manifest.json records list_version, so an install from the pack alone knows it too. Manifests regenerated twice and compared: only version and generated changed. --- install/amberelec.json | 4 +- install/batocera.json | 2 +- install/bizhawk.json | 4 +- install/emudeck.json | 2 +- install/emuelec.json | 2 +- install/knulli.json | 2 +- install/lakka.json | 2 +- install/minui.json | 4 +- install/misterfpga.json | 4 +- install/myminui.json | 4 +- install/nextui.json | 4 +- install/recalbox.json | 2 +- install/retroarch.json | 2 +- install/retrobat.json | 2 +- install/retrodeck.json | 2 +- install/retropie.json | 2 +- install/rocknix.json | 2 +- install/romm.json | 4 +- platforms/lakka.yml | 4 +- schemas/install-manifest.schema.json | 3 +- schemas/pack-manifest.schema.json | 5 +++ scripts/common.py | 4 ++ scripts/generate_pack.py | 34 +++++++++++++-- scripts/scraper/misterfpga_scraper.py | 10 ++--- tests/test_audit_regressions.py | 53 +++++++++++++++++++++++ tests/test_core_file_fills_declaration.py | 13 +++--- tests/test_core_size_refusal.py | 2 +- tests/test_directory_entries.py | 1 + tests/test_e2e.py | 47 ++++++++++++++++++++ tests/test_frontend_digest.py | 1 + tests/test_install_selection.py | 4 +- tests/test_minui_platform.py | 1 + tests/test_no_game_data.py | 2 +- tests/test_pack_counts.py | 3 +- tests/test_required_only_twins.py | 1 + tests/test_save_root.py | 4 +- tests/test_unplaced_extras.py | 7 +-- 37 files changed, 197 insertions(+), 52 deletions(-) diff --git a/install/amberelec.json b/install/amberelec.json index dce7e2a88..2ff1d9e66 100644 --- a/install/amberelec.json +++ b/install/amberelec.json @@ -5,8 +5,8 @@ "categorized": true, "platform": "amberelec", "display_name": "AmberELEC", - When it differs from the version the list was built for, a line says so before the install and again with the result, and the new version event carries it for the screen.
