Every cited block was read again at HEAD: no ref left to review, no
file name or hash literal added to a cited file since the pin
(--detect-new-files --watch-hashes), refs recaled with their pins.
Profiles built by a platform at a fixed commit, or whose bump would
leave prose under an older pin, stay where they were.
EmuELEC, AmberELEC and KNULLI launch standalone emulators by the name
their launch code dispatches on (HATARISA, PPSSPPSDL, FBNEOSA) and ship
32-bit or patched builds of libretro cores under their own .so names
(flycast_32b, mupen64plus_next_alt, genesis_plus_gx_cart_special,
mame0139, flycast-xtreme). Each name joins the profile of the project
its package builds. fceumm_mod reads gg.rom, not gamegenie.nes, and
never opens it, so it gets its own profile.
libretro/ppsspp answers as libretro-mirrors/ppsspp-old, a 2020 tree
frozen in 2022. The buildbot builds ppsspp from hrydgard/ppsspp master,
whose libretro/ directory holds the wrapper, so the profile is read
again at 58935bbf and pinned there.
The asset directory, PPGe atlas and font lookup are cited where they
sit now. The notes record the NAND under the save directory that a
disc's firmware updater fills, and the modules it replaces.
The Dolphin Sys, PPSSPP assets and blueMSX trees stay required, and the
profiles now cite why. blueMSX finds no machine without Machines/, the
C-BIOS ones included, and the load fails (Src/Board/Machine.c:637-656,
libretro.c:1447-1449). Its tree reference cited libretro.c:1119-1120,
which at the pinned revision is the Sunrise IDE option, and now cites
1196-1197. PPSSPP has no internal font without flash0/font, so
sceFontOpen fails for games using the system fonts
(Core/HLE/sceFont.cpp:805-864, 984-986). Dolphin loads no GameCube font
without Sys/GC/ or an IPL dump and warns that games may crash
(Source/Core/Core/HW/EXI/EXI_DeviceIPL.cpp:328-340).
Profiles that read two repositories, a libretro port and its upstream,
now prefix each citation with source or upstream, decided by which tree
carries the cited value at its pin. The emulator pages use the word to
tell libretro glue, emulator code as the port carries it, and the
upstream emulator apart.
Each platform's own packages were read at the revision our data pins, for every emulator and core it ships: Batocera, Recalbox, RetroPie, ROCKNIX, Lakka, RetroDECK, RetroBat and EmuDeck. Files a package installs where the emulator reads them are recorded with installed_on, and files a release bundles but a package leaves out with not_bundled_on, so each platform's pack brings what its users lack and nothing they already have. The standalone profiles never checked before were held against their releases the same way. Batocera's imame4all is the mame2000 core. The primary neogeo.zip was a 7.7 KB placeholder no platform pins and no pack served: removed, the real dumps stay in .variants.
A file or tree installed with the emulator is already on the user's machine, so packs, install manifests and verify's pack count leave it out. bundled is scoped by mode like any entry: Dolphin's Sys and PPSSPP's assets ship with the standalone releases, not with the libretro cores, so they now follow the libretro build only and still reach RetroArch packs. PrimeHack, standalone only, ships its own Sys.
Every profile now has:
- profiled_date: date of source code analysis
- core_version: version from libretro-core-info .info files
- display_name: human-readable name from .info files
260/260 profiles complete. 294/294 libretro cores covered.
Standalone emulators (cemu, rpcs3, xemu, vita3k) versioned manually.
- Added profiled_date field to all 204 existing profiles for update tracking
- Created 56 alias profiles for cores that share BIOS with a parent
(e.g., mednafen_psx -> beetle_psx, fbalpha2012 -> fbneo)
260 total profiles covering all 294 libretro cores (204 unique + 56 alias).
