Batocera, RetroBat, Recalbox and ROCKNIX offer some emulators both as a
libretro core and standalone. Filed as standalone only, the libretro
layout was dropped: libretro Dolphin had no dolphin-emu/Sys/GC files.
Platforms now name dual-mode emulators and each gets both layouts.
Thirty platform system ids, such as sufami, pokemini, vsmile, and
Recalbox's comma-joined msx1,msx2, matched no system any profile
names, so no core file was attributed to them and --system missed them.
The scraper maps now carry those names, and a test holds every platform
system to a profile system apart from two named folds.
RetroBat's platform file carried no core list, and a registry list
copied from Batocera stood in with ports RetroBat never runs and none
of its standalone emulators marked as such. The scraper now reads
es_systems.cfg at the release tag: libretro cores, and every other
emulator as standalone.
Run ruff check --fix: remove unused imports (F401), fix f-strings
without placeholders (F541), remove unused variables (F841), fix
duplicate dict key (F601).
Run isort --profile black: normalize import ordering across all files.
Run ruff format: apply consistent formatting (black-compatible) to
all 58 Python files.
3 intentional E402 remain (imports after require_yaml() must execute
after yaml is available).
Identical _fetch_raw() implementation (URL fetch + cache + error handling)
was duplicated in 4 scrapers. Moved to BaseScraper.__init__ with url param.
Each scraper now passes url to super().__init__() and inherits _fetch_raw().
Eliminates ~48 lines of duplicated code.
DRY audit now clean: resolve logic in common.py, scraper CLI in base_scraper,
_fetch_raw in BaseScraper. Remaining duplications are justified (different
list_platforms semantics, context-specific hash computation).
