Each libretro profile records version_basis and core_version is read
there at its pin. snes9x states 1.63 in snes9x.h, nestopia 2.0.0, mgba
0.11.0, vice 3.10, atari800's libretro tree 7.0.0. Cores whose build
takes its version from git carry the nearest tag in describe form
(flycast v2.7-90-ge88b0ce, ppsspp, duckstation, gearcoleco), placeholders
copied from .info files (Git, SVN) are replaced by the code's statement,
and a code that states none is null with kind none.
A Pentagon, Pentagon 512/1024 or Scorpion reset returns an error when a ROM is missing (fuse/machines/pentagon.c:131-139, pentagon512.c:76-91, pentagon1024.c:72-87, scorpion.c:76-78), machine_select_machine fails (fuse/machine.c:237) and machine_select falls back to the built-in 48K machine (fuse/machine.c:150-162). The core keeps running, so the eight model ROMs are optional.
Lakka builds LIBRETRO_CORES minus the exclusions each project, device
and GLES image adds. Without a list, --target refused Lakka and its RPi1
pack carried firmware for cores the image does not build.
gopher2600 and gearsystem cited a blank line one past the fingerprint
comparison and the SG-1000 bootrom guard. fuse cited a glob, which
resolves against nothing: the two machines it means are named now.
gsplus, gopher64 and geolith carried refs from a newer tree than their
pin.
240 file-level entries used notes: instead of the canonical note:
field. verify.py and cross_reference.py only read note:, so these
were silently ignored.
Previous commit failed to fully revert fuse.yml (agent-added
MD5/SHA1 still present). Also revert qemu.yml and higan_sfc.yml.
All profiles now match their pre-collection state (2666ebd).
Emulator profiles are source-verified ground truth — agents
must never modify them without code verification.
Agents added MD5/SHA1 hashes to fuse.yml computed from downloaded
files, not from source code (ground truth violation: validation
is [size] only). Agents added firmware entries to qemu.yml without
source code verification. Profiles must reflect code, not files.
Every profile now has:
- profiled_date: date of source code analysis
- core_version: version from libretro-core-info .info files
- display_name: human-readable name from .info files
260/260 profiles complete. 294/294 libretro cores covered.
Standalone emulators (cemu, rpcs3, xemu, vita3k) versioned manually.
- Added profiled_date field to all 204 existing profiles for update tracking
- Created 56 alias profiles for cores that share BIOS with a parent
(e.g., mednafen_psx -> beetle_psx, fbalpha2012 -> fbneo)
260 total profiles covering all 294 libretro cores (204 unique + 56 alias).
