jgenesis picks it for GenesisRegion::Americas, md-emu for boot byte 0x7a, ares for an NTSC-U disc: one code for every disc of the Americas, Brazilian Tec Toy releases included. The three tagged it north-america alone, so --region brazil dropped the BIOS those discs need. genesis_plus_gx and picodrive already carried both.
Region tags must name the territory the code selects a file for. Each
entry tagged europe alone was read at its pin: PAL branches Australian
media reach now include oceania, and tags that follow a video standard,
a user setting or a hardcoded value are removed.
dinothawr's libretro.cpp became libretro.c and its refs already carried
the new line numbers, so the pin followed. groovymame cited a Batocera
package recipe and jgenesis a RetroBat generator, neither of which lives
in the tree each names; both read external now.
