Held entries carry their category and readers too, not only missing ones, so each platform page says which cores read every file it lists and where the code does it. Severity still applies to firmware gaps only.
Each missing platform entry now carries its evidence: the profile entries that read it with their source reference, the cores of its system examined without finding a reader, or why the question stays open. verify --verbose prints it, --json carries it and the platform pages show it.
minarch hands every core SDCARD_PATH/Bios/<TAG> as its system directory
and opens no file in it. The scrapers read each pak's launch.sh (core,
tag, devices), each device's core makefile (the project a library is
built from: MyMinUI's dosbox_libretro.so is dosbox-pure) and the minarch
statement, at a pinned commit. The installer recognises the card from
.system/version.txt and refuses a folder inside it.
The installer page says how to get the port (PortMaster's catalog once
accepted, or RetroBIOS.zip in the autoinstall folder), what it shows and
needs, and why it carries install.py. The download page links to it
from the handheld table.
The download page had no Android line and no Windows form with
options, and platform and system pages offered only ZIP parts. One
generator now writes the Linux, Windows and Android commands for the
download page and the platform, emulator and system pages. A system
section lists each platform's command under the system id its install
manifest records, the only names --system accepts.
The which-pack page called RetroPie the largest community with the most
guides, Batocera an easy setup and Recalbox good for a first build,
claims nothing in the repository measures. Each row now says what the
setup is, with board names taken from the platform target lists.
The page opened on a slogan and four tiles that read Verified (100%)
for 5,437 of 5,438 files and Missing 0, above a table of red cells. It
now opens on what it covers and one sentence that says every count of
the platforms' own lists and points to the emulator files below.
An emulator page linked its YAML and api/v1 JSON, platform and system
pages nothing. Each platform page now links its YAML, its own
api/v1/platforms/<id>.json and its install manifest, and each system
page its api/v1/systems/<slug>.json, both validated by the envelope
schema.
An emulator card's anchor changed when a second entry with the same
path was added, so cited links landed at the page top. A card whose
entry declares a hash is now addressed by it, and the first card of a
path keeps the plain file-<path> id as an alias.
The pack README's one-line install was written per platform: ROCKNIX and MiSTer had none, EmuDeck's Windows edition was told to open Konsole, and RomM users were sent to library/bios/ whatever their firmware template. The automatic section now follows each platform's install.detect systems, the EmuDeck and RomM manual steps name every layout, and the download page lists EmuDeck under Windows and macOS.
A core that loads no file no longer promises paths and hashes in its
snippet, a description is cut at a word and keeps the underscores of
its code spans, and the JSON-LD url is encoded as mkdocs encodes the
canonical link and the sitemap.
A row said the declared hash was contradicted by the local file and
named neither. The table now prints the hashes the platform declares
and the path and hashes of the copy the collection holds.
The quick install block gains the PowerShell form that passes options and a link to the installer page. The collection size uses the GB format of the download table and the site, counts get separators, and the sentences about RetroArch's existence check and the method describe the code instead of judging documentation.
load_from, found_by, on_mismatch, built_by, pin_frozen and
version_source were in the profiles and on no page: Dolphin's
gba_bios.bin showed a path under system/ although the libretro core reads
it from its save directory, and mame0278 did not say only Recalbox ships
it.
164 entries wore the in repo badge with no copy named: they are held as
a ZIP member or in a data directory, which the database does not index.
held_copy() finds that copy and the card names it. storage: large_file
no longer counts as held by itself: kenji-nx's user-picked firmware
package read as held although nothing collects it.
The database keeps one path per content, so a system placed by the
copy deduplication kept linked to another maker: nintendo-nes and
nintendo-fds to Arcade > FBNeo, sega-mastersystem and
sinclair-zx-spectrum to Other > zesarux. Every folder holding a copy now
votes, an id that spells one console folder links to it, and a maker's
folder outranks the folders that file copies by emulator.
Thirty one-line labels in verify.py, generate_site.py and
generate_truth.py named the statement under them ("# Load registry",
"# Copy branding assets"). Comments that give a reason stay, as do the
module section headers. A test reads the three files for new ones.
The which-pack page announced itself ("This page picks the right pack
for a setup") before naming a pack. The sentence goes, the pointer to
Getting started stays.
The search splits a page at its headings. Emulator cards were titled in
bold and platform systems folded into blocks under one heading, so a
pasted hash opened the top of a page or the systems overview of a
100-block platform page. Each file card is now a level 4 heading kept
out of the table of contents, and each platform system a heading.
Card lines that list other pages (platforms, packs, source citations,
collection paths) leave the search index: 24.7 MB down to 18.1 MB, the
names, hashes and notes still searchable.
The collection DAT held the one path per content the database keeps, so
auditing bios/ with it read 2,502 copies (RPG Maker, engine trees, dumps
filed under two consoles) as unknown files. It now lists every path under
bios/ that holds a file, 22,028 roms for the 22,031 files on disk, the
other three being .gitkeep placeholders.
Data directory owners were picked among every profile, aliases included,
and an alias has no page: the 90 FreeIntv overlays linked to
emulators/freeintv_ts_overlay/, a 404. Only a profile with a page owns a
tree now, and a page lists the trees of the aliases that point at it.
A directory entry was joined to the collection by its own name, so the
11,976 files under alephone's Plugins/ and the cdogs, thextech and
easyrpg trees named no emulator on their card. FileConsumers now expands
the directory and records which entry reads each file. The emulator links
on a file card land on that entry, and a directory card names its copies
and the folder that holds them.
The analysis and firmware blocks printed their source_ref as plain code,
dropped any list or map inside a list item (cemu's firmware title
contents), cut values at 200 characters and let a folded note's second
line leave its admonition. Citations are now pinned links and every
value is shown on its own line.
The summary, the provenance table and the per-emulator Missing column
summed the report's gap_missing, which counts files the emulator's own
package installs: 1,356 files to source where 609 are. They get their
own row and column now.
The cross-reference page read the label from the shape of cores:, so
RetroPie and RetroDECK, which name retroarch in a list, showed no
"(all libretro)". The label now comes from the resolved core set.
The gaps page called each platform's file a corrected list, a word the
exports page test already kept off that page. The test now reads the
text of every site generator.
The index of other system spellings was rebuilt only when the page
table changed length, so a table of the same size kept the previous
links. The builder now returns its table and set_system_page_map
installs it with the index derived from it.
Troubleshooting, the FAQ and the download page sent people who only ran
the installer to verify.py, which reads the repository, not their BIOS
folder. Download links now name the exact asset of the recorded release,
the --dest example names the BIOS folder on the card, the slice layout
left with the last release that used it, and the shown verify output is
what the tool prints.
Profile notes and wiki pages called .info entries phantom or incorrect, and labelled an upstream list a known defect. They now state what each file declares and what the code reads. The wiki claimed Batocera prefix-matches truncated md5s; its script compares the full string (batocera-systems:1088), which the page now says. The gaps column reads "Not read by profiles" and notes that a profile may be incomplete.
The page called the original "their file" and listed hashes "corrected" and additions "left out", a verdict on work the page only proposes to extend. It now says what each updated file changes in neutral terms built from the report's numbers, gives the reason a file is not added, credits the effort a list takes to keep current, and invites an issue when a change does not fit a platform. A test keeps the judging words off the page.
The nested list structure stays, so each label renders bold instead of showing its asterisks. The platform details block becomes a list as well: its labels were paragraphs followed by items with no blank line between them. validate_site now reports any asterisks that reach a rendered page outside code, which runs in the deploy and in pipeline step 8b.
unread_on names the platforms whose launcher points the emulator at other files. RetroBat writes absolute BIOS paths into standalone BlastEm's config, so the default names were reported as required and missing there. Such an entry leaves that platform's gap report and pack, and its emulator page says where it is never opened.
The per-system lookup named its dictionary declared, which the file loop below reassigns to a list, so the second system of a platform page raised AttributeError.
RetroArch, Lakka, RetroPie, EmuDeck and RetroBat group NAOMI and
Atomiswave as sega-dreamcast-arcade and the Enterprise 64 and 128 as
one system. No profile uses those ids, so the emulator cell was empty.
When no id matches, a platform page now names the emulators that read
a file the system lists. Archive members do not count.
export_native now writes into exports/ by default, and beside each
platform's corrected file a report naming every change, where the run
printed five per kind. A new site page lists each platform with its
original file, a download of the corrected one and every corrected,
filled or withheld value. Each platform page links to its row.
install.py --emulator NAME keeps what the named emulators read on the detected platform: their own files and the platform's files of the systems they run, as a pack built for them carries, without the systems no core is mapped to. Each emulator page now gives that command for Linux, macOS and Windows, beside the per-file links.
A copy filed under two consoles of one maker was listed twice with the same id, and a data directory listed the same bytes twice, so the site deploy refused 20 pages. The first card keeps the id. The pipeline only generated the pages, so it now renders them with mkdocs build --strict and runs validate_site as the deploy does. The resumed-speed test read the clock and failed on a slow runner, it now fixes the elapsed time.
A file the emulator installs itself is left out of the packs, per build and per platform. The profiling guide documents bundled, installed_on and not_bundled_on, the FAQ says why a file the emulator reads may be missing from a pack, and an emulator page names the build that installs it and the platforms whose package differs.
A data directory appeared on its emulator page as a URL whose content moves, and the 2,534 files the packs ship from these trees were on no page. Each tree now shows the revision it was fetched at and its files with size and sha1, and the site lookup by sha1 resolves them. The page description reads the repository list the JSON-LD now carries.
The structured data of an emulator page published one repository and one commit. A profile whose builds live in two repositories, or a port with an upstream_commit, now lists each repository with its own pin.
The collection DAT named its sets "Sony - PlayStation", and the data page said it audits a copy of bios/. clrmamepro and RomVault looked for a folder of that name and reported the 330 sets missing. A Logiqx set name writes a subfolder with a backslash: Sony\PlayStation.
