Each standalone profile records where its version is read: the source
at its pin (clk 2026-07-23-136-g9020107, shadps4 0.20.1 WIP, eden
v0.2.0-401-g26a03d2), the APK, binary or archive read (kind package),
or, where no reading can be made, kind unverified with the reason: a
host the tools cannot read, a forge gone or not answering, no build
recorded as read, a pin on another branch. Those keep their value,
unconfirmed.
One run of profile_sync --all --rebase-refs --fresh. Every guard held:
no ref to review, no prose left under an older pin, no file name or hash
literal gained in a cited file since the pin, no built_by pin and no pin
keyed by build mode. The site's record of cited source paths is rebuilt
with them.
Same chain as the first pass: no ref to review, no file name or hash
literal added to a cited file since the pin, no profile a single
platform builds at a fixed commit, refs recaled with their pins, and the
written prose read again.
Every cited block was read again at HEAD: no ref left to review, no
file name or hash literal added to a cited file since the pin
(--detect-new-files --watch-hashes), refs recaled with their pins.
Profiles built by a platform at a fixed commit, or whose bump would
leave prose under an older pin, stay where they were.
A missing extended ROM only raises a notice (memory.cpp:1833-1849), but
the machine then runs on the Kickstart alone. cdstrap, cd.device,
cdtv.device and cdfs.library are resident modules of the CD32 and CDTV
extended ROMs and absent from their Kickstarts, the CD32 and base CDTV
models have no floppy drive (cfgfile.cpp:9375-9379, 9405-9406), so no CD
is read or booted. Both entries stay required. The AROS replacement
stands in only for a missing Kickstart (memory.cpp:3055-3063), so the
CDTV entry loses hle_fallback.
Every entry took its names from RetroBat's Uae.Generator.cs, which
the RetroBat launchers: records already hold. Kickstarts are now
labels of the ROM scan, and kick.rom, the name the loader opens under
its data path, is listed.
100 emulator names the two platforms run had no profile, so their packs carried nothing for them. Each was read from the platform's own launcher or scriptmodule: the same program as an existing profile takes the name in cores:, a different build gets its own profile read from that version, a launcher or self-contained game goes to remove_cores, and the rest are new profiles written from their source or shipped binary. The files they need that the collection lacked are collected from the upstream distributions. Bungie and splitwolf trees are read by path and stay out of dedup.
