Abdessamad Derraz bb19a6d5cf feat: profile what RetroBat and RetroPie run
100 emulator names the two platforms run had no profile, so their packs carried nothing for them. Each was read from the platform's own launcher or scriptmodule: the same program as an existing profile takes the name in cores:, a different build gets its own profile read from that version, a launcher or self-contained game goes to remove_cores, and the rest are new profiles written from their source or shipped binary. The files they need that the collection lacked are collected from the upstream distributions. Bungie and splitwolf trees are read by path and stay out of dedup.

Closed-source 3DO and Atari Jaguar emulator by Altmer (Arts-Union), the
author of FreeDO. This profile reads the build RetroBat installs,
PhoenixEmuProject.exe 2.8.JAG (x86-64, dated 2023-01-05), with objdump and
the strings it carries.
Phoenix names no BIOS file. Every dump is registered in phoenix.config.xml
under a platform and a dump type: BIOS, CD-ROM, FMV-ROM, FONT-ROM and NVRAM
for 3DO, BIOS and CARTRIDGE for Jaguar. emulatorlauncher rewrites that file
before each launch, registering the game and, as the BIOS, panafz10.bin for
3DO or "[BIOS] Atari Jaguar (World).j64" for Jaguar from the RetroBat bios
folder (emulatorLauncher Generators/Phoenix.Generator.cs:23-95).
The 3DO machine is emulated at hardware level (MADAM, CLIO, the CEL engine
and the ARM CPU) and starts from the BIOS dump. Its md5 is compared with
two values, the PAL Anvil BIOS a48e6746 and the same image with RSA
disabled cf11bbb5 (function at 0x4a10d0, strings at 0xb03a38 and
0xb03a60), which the 2.8.J changelog lists as PAL BIOS support. FMV-ROM is
the video module ROM, which the 1.2 changelog describes as viewable only,
and FONT-ROM the kanji font of Japanese consoles. Two further md5 values
(0xb03bd0, 0xb03bf8) are compared against the CD-ROM dump and set per game
video parameters.
Jaguar cartridges run through the boot ROM, and the File menu offers to add
a header, or a generic header, to a headerless cartridge
dump so that the boot ROM accepts it.
