Abdessamad Derraz bb19a6d5cf feat: profile what RetroBat and RetroPie run
100 emulator names the two platforms run had no profile, so their packs carried nothing for them. Each was read from the platform's own launcher or scriptmodule: the same program as an existing profile takes the name in cores:, a different build gets its own profile read from that version, a launcher or self-contained game goes to remove_cores, and the rest are new profiles written from their source or shipped binary. The files they need that the collection lacked are collected from the upstream distributions. Bungie and splitwolf trees are read by path and stay out of dedup.

Native port of the Jak and Daxter games built from the decompiled GOAL
code. gk runs the game, goalc compiles GOAL source, and extractor turns the
user's PS2 ISO into the data gk loads.
RetroBat installs v0.3.8: the gk.exe, goalc.exe and extractor.exe of its
opengoal.7z are byte identical to opengoal-windows-v0.3.8.zip, and its data
tree has the same files, so the profile is pinned to that tag. The
launcher reads the game name (jak1, jak2 or jak3) from the first line of
the ROM file, then checks data/out/<game>/iso. When that folder is missing
it runs "extractor.exe -g <game> -e -d -c <iso>" with the ISO path set in
the system options, and refuses to start without one. It then starts
gk.exe -g <game> with its own config folder.
extractor (decompiler/extractor/main.cpp):
1. -e takes a file whose extension is .iso and which is larger than
1000000000 bytes, unpacks it into iso_data/_temp and computes an XXH64
over the hashes of all its files (decompiler/extractor/extractor_util.cpp:278-304,
decompiler/extractor/main.cpp:295-317).
2. validate needs a DGO folder in the extraction. It reads the serial
from the boot ELF name (SCUS_971.24 gives SCUS-97124) and hashes that
ELF with XXH64, then looks both up in extractor_iso_database
(decompiler/extractor/main.cpp:35-110, decompiler/extractor/extractor_util.cpp:30-166, 229-251). A missing DGO
folder stops extraction. Any other mismatch only fails the run under
-v, which RetroBat does not pass, and leaves the data in
iso_data/_temp instead of iso_data/<game> (decompiler/extractor/main.cpp:318-335).
3. -d decompiles with the config of the detected release, -c compiles
goal_src into data/out/<game>.
The database knows Jak 1 as SCUS-97124 (Black Label and Greatest Hits),
SCES-50361, SCPS-15021 and SCPS-56003, Jak 2 as SCUS-97265, SCES-51608,
SCPS-15057 and SCKA-20010, and Jak 3 as SCUS-97330, SCUS-97516,
SCKA-20040 and SCES-52460. The contents hashes it stores are XXH64
values over per file hashes, not hashes of the ISO file, so no entry
below carries one.
At run time gk reads only what the extractor and compiler built:
out/<game>/iso, listed by the fake ISO file system, and out/<game>/fr3
for the renderer (game/overlord/common/fake_iso.cpp:57-71,
game/graphics/pipelines/opengl.cpp:90). The data folder of the release
(goal_src, decompiler/config, custom_assets, game/assets, launcher) is
program source and configuration the compiler reads, shipped with every
build. goal_src/jakx is present, but the extractor accepts only jak1, jak2
and jak3 at this tag (decompiler/extractor/main.cpp:16-18, 289-292).
