A profile that reads a libretro core and the original emulator cited both trees alike, and readers could not tell whether the core or the emulator asked for a file. A cited path now opens with source or upstream, the repository its lines are in. Emulator code a port carries is attributed upstream when the original holds the same value on the cited line.
profile_sync --attribute-refs writes the words from where the lines are found and follows a word already written. The site links each citation to that repository's pin, labels it libretro core or upstream emulator, and says on each file card whose code asks for it. A recale keeps the word, and mame_ref_audit reads the tree it names.
Profiles, the wiki, comments, docstrings, command output and schema descriptions carried em-dashes, clause-joining semicolons, unicode arrows, box-drawing banners and check-mark glyphs. Each sentence was rewritten rather than having its character swapped. Hashes, paths, source_ref values and every cited file:line are unchanged, which a comparison of each parsed profile against the previous revision confirms.
validate_pr comments now say PASS and FAIL in words, and source_ref values in a profile's structured blocks render as code. test_prose_style fails if any of these comes back, in tracked files or in the generated site.
Fifty options appeared in no page. fileless_audit also gains --all, so
its example sweeps instead of naming three settled profiles, and it and
download.py --info now fail on an unknown name or an unreachable source.
argparse completed a prefix into the only flag starting with it:
slots.py --emulator read profiles from a directory named after the
emulator and reported nothing, and pipeline.py --all built every pack
variant. Every parser now refuses an abbreviation.
An empty file list is the one assertion here that ages unwatched. Nothing
can go missing and no ref can drift, so nothing notices when a core that
embedded everything grows a path. virtualjaguar said "No external BIOS
files are required or loaded by this core" while its source had grown
eleven filenames read from the system directory, and only a reading
found it.
fileless_audit looks for the request itself, the system directory ask, in
the sources each profile already cites. Over the 151 fileless profiles it
named eleven, of which two were covered by data_directories, six carried
an exclusion_note, and three had nothing written down at all: craft
writes its world database in that directory, dice stores the answer in a
variable no other file in the tree names, lutro hands it to the Lua game.
Each now says so.
The check settles: declared files, a declared directory, or a written
answer all end it, so what it reports is the set nobody has read yet. A
test holds the corpus at zero.
