Profiles that read two repositories, a libretro port and its upstream,
now prefix each citation with source or upstream, decided by which tree
carries the cited value at its pin. The emulator pages use the word to
tell libretro glue, emulator code as the port carries it, and the
upstream emulator apart.
A file or tree installed with the emulator is already on the user's machine, so packs, install manifests and verify's pack count leave it out. bundled is scoped by mode like any entry: Dolphin's Sys and PPSSPP's assets ship with the standalone releases, not with the libretro cores, so they now follow the libretro build only and still reach RetroArch packs. PrimeHack, standalone only, ships its own Sys.
GC/EUR/IPL.bin fell through to its bare name and the union of five regions, so a Batocera or standalone Dolphin pack never reduced it. The GameCube IPLs of four Dolphin-family profiles now name their system, as the MMJR profiles do.
Dolphin and its forks hash dsp_rom.bin and dsp_coef.bin together and
warn on any combination outside known_roms. The profiles now carry the
accepted pairs, and the resolver keeps both files inside the first pair
the collection holds whole: MMJR and Ishiiruka were served the free ROM
beside the official coefficients.
Dolphin files the Australian country code under Region::PAL, whose
IPL lives in GC/EUR. Tagged europe alone, --region australia dropped
it and kept the American IPL, which Dolphin never reads for those
discs.
Dolphin computes adler32 on byte-swapped (16-bit) data, not raw
file bytes. Add adler32_byteswap flag to dolphin/primehack/ishiiruka
profiles and support it in validation.py.
Reduces hash mismatch discrepancies from 18 to 2.
beetle_pce: +core_classification, +upstream, cores=[mednafen_pce],
alt_names→aliases. 6 files confirmed loaded by code.
mame: removed 19 phantom XaviX entries (MACHINE_IS_BIOS_ROOT commented
out in source). 80 real BIOS sets verified.
mame2010: fixed galgbios.zip source_ref, documented cheat.zip as
non-functional in libretro port (cheatpath never initialized).
ishiiruka: trimmed verbose advisory notes to factual descriptions.
mamearcade: added system: field to 29 bios_zip entries, 24 new systems.
mednafen_ngp: removed redundant cores: on alias, added note:.
mednafen_gba: normalized validation format to flow sequence.
add --emulator, --system, --standalone, --list-emulators, --list-systems
to verify.py and generate_pack.py. packs are RTU with data directories,
regional BIOS variants, and archive support.
validation: field per file (size, crc32, md5, sha1) with conflict
detection. by_path_suffix index in database.json for regional variant
resolution via dest_hint. restructure GameCube IPL to regional subdirs.
66 E2E tests, full pipeline verified.
Every profile now has:
- profiled_date: date of source code analysis
- core_version: version from libretro-core-info .info files
- display_name: human-readable name from .info files
260/260 profiles complete. 294/294 libretro cores covered.
Standalone emulators (cemu, rpcs3, xemu, vita3k) versioned manually.
- Added profiled_date field to all 204 existing profiles for update tracking
- Created 56 alias profiles for cores that share BIOS with a parent
(e.g., mednafen_psx -> beetle_psx, fbalpha2012 -> fbneo)
260 total profiles covering all 294 libretro cores (204 unique + 56 alias).
