336 entries for files that arrive with the emulator named no hash, so
the collected copy was the only record of which file the release
ships. Each now carries the sha1 and size of the copy collected from
that emulator's own release, so the profile keeps the file's identity
once the copy leaves the collection. Entries whose name is a pattern
keep no hash.
Profiles that read two repositories, a libretro port and its upstream,
now prefix each citation with source or upstream, decided by which tree
carries the cited value at its pin. The emulator pages use the word to
tell libretro glue, emulator code as the port carries it, and the
upstream emulator apart.
Every bundled flag was checked against the release or the build recipe of the build that reads the file. A libretro core zip holds the core alone: fMSX, Nuance, ep128emu and PCEE2 files the source tree carries are no longer bundled, and blueMSX, ARMSX2, YAPS2, Cemu and Jazz2 entries are split per build. Files the release ships and the profile missed are now bundled (POM2, ZQuest Classic, EmuCoreX, Linux Loader). Platform packages that differ are named: Batocera installs hcl and Hurrican without their data, ROCKNIX ships touchHLE's Liberation Sans fonts only, Batocera and RetroPie install blueMSX's machines beside the core.
Profiles, the wiki, comments, docstrings, command output and schema descriptions carried em-dashes, clause-joining semicolons, unicode arrows, box-drawing banners and check-mark glyphs. Each sentence was rewritten rather than having its character swapped. Hashes, paths, source_ref values and every cited file:line are unchanged, which a comparison of each parsed profile against the previous revision confirms.
validate_pr comments now say PASS and FAIL in words, and source_ref values in a profile's structured blocks render as code. test_prose_style fails if any of these comes back, in tracked files or in the generated site.
A prose citation whose text lived under several pins stayed in
read again until the text changed, so fixnes, zesarux and emucorex,
exact at their pins, would have refused every later bump.
prose_written_at names the pin a reader confirmed; it settles the
readings and never overrides a history with one candidate.
MIN_BIOS_SIZE fell from 4 MB to 2 MB (BiosTools.cpp:16), which is what
admits the Namco System 246/256 COH-H chip dumps: those are 2 MB where a
console image is 4. The profile still declared the old floor, so it
described a gate the code had stopped applying.
Three changes travel with it. A COH-H board is region 11 rather than 8.
Its description is built from the EXTINFO serial, because Sony left the
version and date fields identical across those BIOSes, and the three
serials the code names resolve to System 256, System 246 Rack C and the
COH-H board. The ROM window is zero-filled before the read so its unused
upper half cannot retain the previous image.
The picker follows: .7d and .8g are accepted extensions, r27v1602f a
name hint. Both dumps are already in the collection, byte-identical to
the r27v1602f members of the MAME sys246 and sys256 sets, and the .7d is
the same content as 246C.bin, which Redump catalogues as Namco System
246 Rack C with the very serial the new code maps.
97 refs, all anchored, pin moved to the revision they describe.
