Recalbox now resolves uae4all to its own libretro build, so only the bundled entries of the standalone uae4all2 reached these two AROS ROMs, which its release ships.
The libretro core passes system/mame/{hash,plugins,samples} (retro_init.cpp:111-155). Software lists are required in mamemess, where softlists are on by default. The trees and the 19 floppy samples are collected from libretro/mame at the pin.
A file that arrives with the emulator is already on the user's machine
and the packs leave it out. 4558 collected copies (1.4 GB) were reached
only by such entries, with no platform, other profile entry or install
manifest needing them. They are removed, and two release-asset copies
leave the ignore list. bundled_only.py now lists every copy of a listed
file, since the database keeps one path per content, and pipeline step
4d fails while one remains.
100 emulator names the two platforms run had no profile, so their packs carried nothing for them. Each was read from the platform's own launcher or scriptmodule: the same program as an existing profile takes the name in cores:, a different build gets its own profile read from that version, a launcher or self-contained game goes to remove_cores, and the rest are new profiles written from their source or shipped binary. The files they need that the collection lacked are collected from the upstream distributions. Bungie and splitwolf trees are read by path and stay out of dedup.
6.1.12 no longer bundles ROOT.chts and its seven cheat sets: the cheat browser reads the home folder, then unpacks Downloads/iNES-Cheats.zip. The seven sets are collected from the author-signed 6.1.4 package, each file covered by its signature. Controls.png and the backdrop pictures the app reads are documented.
POM2 reads nine Virtual ][ sounds from roms/virtual_ii_sons/. All nine are inside VirtualII.dmg from virtualii.com (13.3). The five AIFF files are taken as they are. The four .raw files are signed 16-bit little-endian mono at 44100 Hz, as Virtual ]['s own playback code declares them, and are wrapped in a WAV header, the data chunk being the raw file byte for byte. pom2 verifies 78/78.
Nixie's layouts at vpinball e4a79a5, PinMAME memmaps at tomlogic/pinball-memory-maps 68c1b337 and game definitions at vpinball/pinmame-game-defs 6eece7e5: the subset every platform build copies into third-party/. 1,280 files, each matched to its upstream git blob, documented as three directory entries.
The five native libraries the reprofile added, and the assets and libraries whose copies dated from 1.8.2-open, now come from the official build of 752b93a (release continuous, CI run 39297510978, signing certificate de1bd54d as on 1.8.2). Assets match the repository blobs byte for byte. The profile carries their hashes, and the bundled-identity table now records each fall exactly.
PCSX2x6 reads bin/resources/GameIndex.yaml, an arcade database keyed by NM gameid. The shortened tail resources/GameIndex.yaml matched four files, and the resolver set aside the three in other emulators' trees before measuring ambiguity, so PCSX2's console database passed for path proof and shipped in the PCSX2x6 pack. Ambiguity is now read before that filtering. A tail indexed from an identical copy is kept even when the database records the other copy's path.
PCSX2x6's GameIndex.yaml and RedumpDatabase.yaml are collected from its repository at the pinned 583f0e90 (git blobs ed8232e3 and 8669b3af).
The profile documents BAM 1.5-408 but the collection held the
1.5-360 BAM.dll and renderingengine.dll, served by name. ravarcade
still serves BAM_v1.5-408.zip; its two DLLs become the primaries,
with hashes, and the 1.5-360 builds stay as variants.
The entry documents the 0.29 notes and declared no hash, so the
0.23 notes in the C-BIOS machine folder were served by name. The
file comes from MSX.emu's res/firmware at the profile's pin.
A copy under .variants/ exists to hold a content its primary does
not. 29 held bytes another file already carried, under a second or
third identity: msx.rom and MSX.ROM variants equal to
MSX_8020-20bios.rom, naomi2.zip.da79eca4 whose suffix named the
primary's sha1 rather than its own. dedup now removes such a copy,
keeping one when only variants hold the content. The LaserActive
PAC-S10 BIOS lived only under .variants/ while RetroBat names it
without a hash; it moves beside its siblings.
RetroArch pins 23 ScummVM engine-data files and FBNeo's hiscore.dat at
revisions upstream history still holds; they are now collected. The
two profiles claim the revision their core is built from, so the pack
keeps serving the core its own files and the pins sit beside them.
Three refs cited paths under Q3E/src/main/jni that the repository does
not carry: xash3d-fwgs and SeriousSamClassic are git submodules, so the
parent tree holds pointers and nothing else. They read as the separate
repositories they are, which is what the external form is for.
Reading the last two changed blocks turned up the substance.
ETQW_GLSL_SHADER_VERSION went from .3 to .6, and the bundled
zzz_etqwbase.pk4 grew from 136061 to 141815 bytes: the size, md5 and
sha1 the profile recorded describe the pack that was replaced. The new
one is in, the old one kept as a variant for builds that still expect
it, and GameResourceUrl gained two Quake 4 mod entries along the way.
70 refs, 68 anchored and 2 external, none left to read.
LinApple 3.0.0 moved every ROM out of hand-written byte arrays into
res/roms/*.rom, which scripts/generate_roms.sh compiles into
EmbeddedRoms.cpp behind an ENABLE_ROM_* macro. The bytes survived the
move: every hash this profile recorded against the old string literals
matches the image that replaced it.
The macros are what matters. ENABLE_ROM_CLONE_BASE64A,
ENABLE_ROM_CLONE_PRAVETS and ENABLE_ROM_CLONE_TK3000E are OFF in the
default build, so Base64A, Pravets 82/8M/8C and TK-3000 //e refuse to
start: mem_initialize finds no rom_data, names the cmake flag and the
--rom option, and returns -1. Five system ROMs the user has to supply,
none of them documented until now. The collection already held them.
Also new: icon.bmp, which the SDL frontends read from disk through the
data search path, and the J-Plus system ROM the old profile did not
list. The tree behind the old refs is gone, so the notes describe the
one that replaced it: five frontends, src/core, src/apple2, and a
program_dir still declared and never assigned.
38 refs, all anchored. 9 of 9 files present.
dedup.py removes a copy only when another file has the same SHA-1 and
the same name, keeping the higher-priority path, so resolution by hash
still finds the content. Verified rather than assumed: all 17268
manifest entries ship the same bytes as before, no destination gained
or lost, only the source paths consolidate. Every deleted path's content
is still held elsewhere.
12.1 MB and 48 empty directories go with them. The index and the
published artefacts are regenerated on top.
Thirty profiles from the ES-DE batch, each source-verified by the
session that wrote it and passing the schema and semantic checks. Five
declare no files at all and say why in notes referenced to the code:
NGP.emu, openbor, Plastic, Swan.emu and XeniOS.
Twenty-eight files come with them, every one declared by the profile
that needs it and matching the hash it declares, with no duplicate of
anything already held: the NetherSX2 Turnip Classic assets, the Speccy
machine ROMs, the Virtual Boy homebrew the app bundles, Snes9x EX+'s
bundled game, and sixtyforce's Overrides.plist, which carries a size
and no hash because the binary never checks one.
supermodel gains the four data files it reads from its install tree,
hakux marks its controller map unsourceable now that the asset manager
is known to read inside the package, and nethersx2 sheds the two core
aliases that belong to the Turnip profiles.
