generate_site.py writes the Starlight project in website/ and nothing
else: mkdocs.yml, the MkDocs hooks, theme overrides and stylesheet go,
and the wiki is written in Starlight's syntax. Both workflows set up
Node with the official actions/setup-node pinned by commit, run npm ci
from the committed lockfile, build with the strict link validator and
check the result with validate_site.py.
The search weighs a page by what it answers: Start here pages first,
a system page's cards and file names before a guide citing them, deep
guides, launchers, aliases and frozen copies after. Status badges,
hash blocks and the export change lists leave the index. The ranking
sits at the centre of a range where the 13 queries of search_gate.py
all answer, in the search box itself.
839 pages, every URL and 45,611 ids match the MkDocs build. The tests
read the Starlight content and syntax.
The profile listed none. id1/pak0.pak is required (host.c:711-760), the retail and mission pack paks are read in order until one is missing, and Quoth 2.2 is mounted when the content path names it (common.c:1017-1020, 1724-1725). The three Quoth paks are collected, pak1.pak as a release asset.
A file that arrives with the emulator is already on the user's machine
and the packs leave it out. 4558 collected copies (1.4 GB) were reached
only by such entries, with no platform, other profile entry or install
manifest needing them. They are removed, and two release-asset copies
leave the ignore list. bundled_only.py now lists every copy of a listed
file, since the database keeps one path per content, and pipeline step
4d fails while one remains.
CLK os.rom (Acorn Electron MOS), exos10.bin and basic10.bin
(Enterprise EXOS/BASIC 1.0) from TOSEC/Myrient — zero
required missing across all platforms. Also add Enterprise
ROMs, ZX Spectrum 128/+2/+3, MSX CLK variants, FBA2012
samples from progettosnaps.
generate_site.py reads database.json + platforms/*.yml + emulators/*.yml
and produces a complete MkDocs Material documentation site:
- Home: stats, downloads, coverage dashboard
- 7 platform pages with per-file verification status
- 60 system pages grouped by manufacturer with cross-references
- 260 emulator pages with source code analysis
- Contributing guide
mkdocs.yml with Material theme, system fonts, auto dark mode.
Generated docs/ in .gitignore (built in CI only).
